E-Service system launched for 18 online services of Textiles and Garments sector

Short Description:

On the 27th December 2016, a launching ceremony of e-Service management system for Directorate of Textiles and a seminar was held in the Jute Diversification and Promotion Centre (JDPC) auditorium. It was jointly organized by Directorate of Textiles under Textiles and Jute Ministry and Access to Information (a2i) Programme, Prime Minister’s Office, Md. Emaz Uddin Pramanik, MP, Hon’ble Minister of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute inaugurated the e-Service management system.

Using this e-Service management system, the entrepreneurs can apply online for all 18 services of the Textiles Directorate, get detailed information on the service process with mentioning of necessary documents, make online payment, and track progress of their application from personal dashboard. Instead of sending notifications by phone or by post, the directorate can now easily send customized SMS or email to individual applicants directly from their dashboard.

Director General of Prime Minister’s Office and a2i’s Project Director Kabir Bin Anwar, Director of Directorate of Textiles Ismail Hossain, a2i Program Policy Advisor Anir Chowdhury, BJMEA Vice-Chairman M Nasir, BKMEA Director Kamal Pasha, Diploma Textile Engineers President Shafiqur Hossain, BJEPMEO Chairman Kadir Khan and Bangladesh Textile University Vice-Chancellor Masud Ahmed were present at the function, among others.
