Access to Information (a2i) Programme of Prime Minister’s Office and Bangladesh Intellectual Property Forum (BIPF) jointly organized a seminar called “Harnessing IPR for Sustainable Growth in Bangladesh: Opportunities, Challenges and Way Forward”.
Internationally renowned Intellectual Property Expert Jay A. Erstling, Emeritus Professor of the Mitchell Hamlin School of Law, Hamline University, USA; Former Director, Office of the Patent cooperation Treaty and Former Director Advisory of World Intellectual Property Organization was deliver the Keynote speech in this Seminar.
Md. Monir Chowdhury Chowdhury, Director General of WTO Cell, Ministry of Commerce; Jafor R Chowdhury, Registrar of Copyright, Copyright Office; Md. Sanowar Hossain, Registrar of Directorate of Patent, Design and Trademarks and Kazi Zahin Hasan, Chairman of Bangladesh Intellectual Property Forum (BIPF) and Barrister ABM Hamidul Misbah, Founding CEO of Bangladesh Intellectual Property Forum (BIPF) were present as the member of seminar panel.
The seminar was organized to discuss the significant role in the development of the IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) framework within Bangladesh. And discuss as to how intellectual property can be used as tool for sustainable growth of the economy in Bangladesh.
