An open e-learning Bangla platform ‘Muktopaath’ ( launched by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2016 inauguration from Digital Information Center of a2i stall in Bangla Academy premises on 1st February 2016.

This online platform started by the online course of “developing multimedia content” for teachers. More than 8 hundred thousand teachers around Bangladesh may able to take this training anyone from anywhere at any time without any cost for develop multimedia content to teach their student in multimedia class room. Participants of this course will get a certificate after successful completion of course through attending online quiz, assignment and exams.

Muktopaath is created opportunities for general, vocational and life-long education. Even the disadvantaged and marginalized groups can receive vocational education on ‘Muktopaath’ for self-employment. Teachers, students, youths, working people, outbound workers, migrant workers or housewives all can benefit by using ‘Muktopaath’. There is an online course on multimedia content development for the teachers in ‘Muktopaath’. Course development activities for the general, technical and vocational education and outbound migrant workers are ongoing.

In addition to online courses in Muktopaath, there are offline versions. Anyone can learn from the offline content. Social media integration has been done in Muktopaath. Therefore, in addition to the platform, contents of Muktopaath are available in YouTube, Google+ and Facebook
