On 20 September 2017, the Access to Information (a2i) Programme of Prime Minister’s Office, Bangladesh, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), is going to organize a side event titled “SDG Implementation, Financing and Monitoring: Sharing innovations through South-South and Triangular Cooperation” in the 72nd Regular Session of UN General Assembly (UNGA 72).
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would unveil a publication “South-South in Action: Citizen-Friendly Public Service Innovation in Bangladesh” in the side event of UN General Assembly that captures many case studies where Bangladesh has benefited itself and other countries, including Fiji, Maldives, and Bhutan.
Again, a tool called “SDG Tracker” for comprehensive target setting and progress tracking of each SDG, indicator by indicator would be globally launched amidst state dignitaries from numerous other nations representing South-South and Triangular Cooperation. The 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 72) has convened on 12 September at UN Headquarters in New York (USA) with a focus on the theme ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.
